For those who have expressed concern, it is with deep regret that we inform you of the passing of George Steinhoff.

On July 3, George Steinhoff suffered a massive heart attack while working out at the gym. He was rushed to Henry Mayo in Valencia where he was treated. Although the doctors were able to stabilize his heart, George remained in a coma since the initial heart attack. The majority of the damage resulted not from the heart attack itself but rather from the 10 minutes his brain was deprived of oxygen while the medics attempted to revive him. Unlike a stroke where the damage to the brain is isolated to a specific region, the 10 minutes without oxygen resulted in damage throughout George's entire brain. After 11 days of remaining in a coma, doctors were able to determine if George were to wake, his life would have been severely impacted.

On July 22, George aka "Pops" passed away quietly in his sleep.

George was known for his integrity, character, sense of humor, and daredevil approach to life. He lived every moment to the fullest, attacking life with the one-two punch of thunder and lightening.

George made an impact on all who met him, was loved by many, and will be missed by all.

It is a testament to George's commitment to life and family that so many have reached out to offer support. It is with the deepest sorrow we say good-bye to our colleague, our co-conspirator, our mentor, our friend and our father.

The family would like to thank everyone for the immense outpouring of thoughts and prayers during this time.

"And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years."-Abraham Lincoln
