Thank you for visiting!
October 12, 2010 our Nan (Elizabeth LaBree Stonebraker) peacefully passed away from consequences of a stroke. Nan is well-respected in Dania, Florida as an artisit, muralist, sculpturalist, teacher and community activist. Her spirit will live through not only her tangible pieces of artwork but also the impact she left on all of our lives.
I am running in the NYC Half-marathon March 20,2011 and will be running for my Nan. As a nurse, I understand it takes a lot to provide funds for research, education and awareness to people regarding prevalent health issues. And since stroke has taken the life of my Nan and also millions of Americans, my goal is to raise $725.26 (Nan's birthday: 7/25/26) before I run the NYC Half-marathon in effort to help fight stroke!
Help us work to fight stroke!
We’ve made progress through awareness efforts to educate men and women everywhere about their risk for stroke, but we still have far to go. The money we raise helps us continue to make critical progress in the area of research and science and there are so many discoveries still yet to be made. But we need your help.
Please donate to the American Stroke Association to help fight today.
Make a donation today and help to save the life of a loved one or friend. Donate now.
With Love,
Katie
