Tip 2 - Remember to Ask Everyone to Donate!
You can ask your parents, your parents’ co-workers, family friends, grandparents, family doctors, and babysitters.
Tip 3 -Get Donations in Honor of Someone You Know Who Has A Special Heart!
Do you know someone who has had a Heart Attack or Stroke? Set up your Web page and tell their story!
If you don’t know someone who has a “Special Heart”, you can share the story of one of the kids you’re helping see the “Kids We’ve Helped” section or share why you think it is important to keep your heart healthy!
Tip 4 -Send Reminder Emails!
If you don’t receive a donation from someone that you emailed within a week, send them a reminder email. You can politely ask them to support you to help you help kids with special hearts. Let them know you still need their help to reach your goal!
Tip 5 - Print Your Online Donation Report and Turn It In To Your Teacher!
When it’s time to turn in your collection envelope, click on the ‘My Progress’ tab in your Heartquarters and select the link to print their ‘Gift History’ report to enclose in your collection envelope! Don’t forget to write your online fund-raising total on your envelope so that it’s included in your overall fund-raising total.

In your letter, tell them who you are jumping or playing basketball in honor of! You also may tell them why you feel that keeping your heart healthy is so important. Be sure to let them know when the due date is for your donations!
Tip 3 - Follow up Your Letter with a Personal Phone Call!
Let them know that you still need their help to meet your goal!
Tip 4 -Call or Visit your Friends and Family To Ask for Donations!
